BOLO – Be On the Look Out for an AWESOME Administrative/Accounting Assistant (Tax Processor)!
 
Are you a dynamite multi-tasker?  Do you thrive on being detail and process oriented?  Have you worked in an administrative role in a Public Accounting Firm?  Not required but sure would be helpful.
Do you understand how tax returns are compiled and ultimately filed with federal and state agencies?  Then you should know, Bell & Company may be looking for YOU!  (Only qualified candidates will be contacted.)

Tell me more about the work and expectations…you ask?
Sure thing. We expect you to come ready to collaborate, share information, and ask when you don’t know something. Don’t spin your wheels too long on something because that just wastes time and money. Be open to others coming to you when they know you are the more experienced or more knowledgeable one on something.
 
We expect you to learn our company, policies, procedures and why we do what we do and how we do it. Once you understand these things we welcome suggestions and ideas to improve client service, processes, or ways to collaborate more effectively.
 
Additionally, you will be expected to (gotta love bullet points):
  • Know how to prioritize your work and complete it timely and accurately.
  • Be willing to take on new tasks as assigned.
  • Operate a scanner and OCR program to process client information.
  • Willing and able to be a back up for the front desk – reception, phones, packages.
  • Be proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook; computer literacy is a must.
  • And several other things that there’s not enough space to add here (we can talk about it in an interview.
 
So, what are we looking for in a qualified candidate?
 
If you have your high school or equivalent diploma that’s a start.  An Associate's in Business or Accounting would be a plus.  We need you to have some experience as an Administrative Assistant; 1-3 years minimum.  We would LOVE IT if you have worked in a CPA firm and are familiar with tax forms.  We are looking for someone who is professional, positive, and dependable.  We have somewhat of a laidback culture here but we are still a professional business and expect people to perform and present themselves in a professional manner. OH!  And, be a nice person who can work independently, be self motivated, and also work collaboratively.  Is that really too much to ask?  
 
What about salary and benefits?
 
This is a full time, hourly position.  Depending upon the amount of experience one has will determine the wage offered.  Right now our wage range is from $20.00 to $27.00 per hour.  
 
As part of your total compensation package, we offer a full array of benefits.  They include paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), paid health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plus more.  We have a summer and fall special schedule with Friday’s off.
